Pastor Ovella Davis is the founder and senior leader of Always In Jesus' Presence Ministries — a Kingdom-minded ecclesia rooted in the heart of Detroit and Southfield, Michigan. A pastor, activist, musician, songwriter, playwright, author, and life coach, she carries a mandate to empower lives through faith, wisdom and the presence of Jesus Christ.
Raised on the streets and in the sanctuaries of Detroit, she learned early that worship is warfare and that purpose is forged in fire. Today she stands as a mother of three, a grandmother, a community voice, and a vessel through whom many have encountered the Lord for the first time.
Her "Thou Shall Not Kill" initiative is a clarion call to a city — confronting violence with prayer, presence and practical restoration. Her music, her books, her stage productions and her coaching all flow from the same well: a relentless love for God and for His people.
